Designed specifically for professionals. The Hayate is a heavy-duty tool, comprising of a more robust construction than the Hayauchi. Despite the slightly heavier construction, it’s still exceptionally easy to handle. The Hayate’s blade is extremely durable & strong, thanks to its unique Mirai-Me teeth made from a special metal alloy.
With the Hayate, you can reach places you barely can with a ladder. With just a couple pulls you can cut through even the thickest branches, all while staying firmly on the ground. For many the Hayate comes close to the perfomance of a Chainsaw, the super sharp blades & clever design mean the weight of the saw does all the work.
To allow highly precise control over the angle & direction of the blade, the Hayate’s alminium pole has an oval shape. This shape also allows for high strength over the full length of the pole saw, reducing bending & flexing.
The two sickles on the blade cooperate for an optimal pruning result. The upper sickle helps you to keep the blade in the sawing cut. You can also use the upper sickle to cut little twigs off the trunk or to pull small branches from the tree. With the lower sickle you can undercut the bark, so that this does not tear off the trunk when the branch falls. The lower sickle is detachable, allowing you to prune heavily ramified woods.
Both push-buttons & lever locking mechanisms work together to create stable & safe locking of your preferred length. The bottom pole section is covered with rubber for a safe & comfortable grip, even when wet, while also protecting the pole from bumps & scrapes.
The name Hayate is a traditional Japanese name for ‘hard wind’. And that is exactly how this saw moves through trees!
Optionally available is a HookFox to mount underneath the blade. With this hook you easily pull down sawn off branches that get stuck in the tree. Also handy to get your climbing rope up high in the tree.
Available in 4 extended lengths: 3800 mm, 5000 mm, 6100 mm, and 7700 mm. It’s important you purchase the right length for you, an overly long saw can be uncomfortable to use.
The Hayate comes with a specially-designed polypropylene cover to protect the blade. The cover has a convenient built-in carrying handle and a notch so that the pole saw can be hung up.
As with any Silky saw, the teeth stay sharp for a long time. If needed, the teeth of the Hayate can be sharpened with a Silky file.

Silky Saws sold in the UK through Silky Fox Saws and/or its related sales are covered by Silky’s “Limited Lifetime Warranty” against defects in material and construction:
1. The limited lifetime warranty covers errors in material and construction. This does not include damage caused by transportation, misuse, abuse, and/or normal wear and tear on wearing parts.
2. The product must be handed into the nearest sales or service centre to undergo a warranty evaluation. Shipping and handling costs are not covered by the warranty.
3. A product that qualifies for warranty assessment will be repaired first, if possible.
4. This warranty applies for NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY.
Silky Fox Saws request that any warranty claim must be accompanied by photographic evidence in the first instance and where necessary damaged items will need to be returned for full evaluation.
